We kicked off the year with wonderful company and exceptional matcha. For this Chakai, Kyoko prepared an osechi-inspired Tenshin. Since one of our guests has a soy allergy, we challenged ourselves to create the entire menu without soy omitting even miso and traditional soy sauce.

A huge thank you to Julien and his team for providing Usukuchi shoyu which made from yellow peas! It was the perfect soy-free alternative.
